SEAFORD and DISTRICT HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

JULY SOCIAL EVENING

Tuesday 29th July

Helen Yemm

Helen is probably best known for her Thorny Problems page in the Saturday’s Telegraph Gardening, which was sadly axed  after 20 years.  She is a lifelong ‘muddy-gloves and wellies’ gardener, an informal teacher, a sometime television presenter (three series for the BBC) and the author of several gardening books (of which the most personal is Gardening in Pyjamas). Her much-admired cottage garden in Wadhurst, East Sussex is open for the village charity and occasionally for small groups.  Photographs of it have featured in several publications.
